Improve Your Hearing Naturally

This is the final product I looked at, and overall it seems to be the best.

The price is a little off-putting compared to the other two, but the information it gives is significantly more thorough.

I like that the treatment recommended is completely natural -- so many people feel terrible when their doctors put them on steroids.

I also like that it covers all angles of the problem -- it turns out there are many different factors contributing to hearing loss. They're all easy to eliminate, but a few of them are things that you just never think of as causing hearing loss. The book lays it all out very clearly.

This is definitely the best of the three in my opinion, especially for anyone who's been struggling with plugged ears for a long time.

Cost: 4/5 (a little more expensive than the other two, but worth it)
Quality: 5/5
Usefulness: 5/5
Good for: All kinds of hearing loss

If you're serious about regaining your hearing, and keeping it once you've got it back, I recommend you check out Improve Your Hearing Naturally right now!

Blocked Ears No More!

This is the second product I looked at. While the first was relatively informative, it didn't really have a good, solid method for unblocking the ears, making it less useful than it could be.

This product costs about the same as the first, but it's geared specifically toward unblocking the ears, so I knew I had to check it out.

It seems to have some really good information, but unfortunately it's only meant for treating short-term blockages, like from flying in an airplane or swimming. While perfectly useful for those situations, it's not of much value to anyone who's been struggling with blocked ears long term.

If you have blockages from flying or swimming, I'd say check it out. If you have blocked ears outside these situations however, I'd say pass on this one.

Cost: 5/5
Quality: 3/5
Usefulness: 4/5
Good for: Ears blocked from swimming or flying

Understanding And Dealing With Hearing Loss

This is the first product I looked at. When I first started checking out information on hearing loss, I just assumed there wasn't any actual way of regaining hearing that's already been lost, so learning about ways to deal with hearing loss seemed perfectly reasonable.

The price is only $10, so, why not? But this truly is a case of you get what you pay for.

Don't get me wrong, the information in the book is perfectly good, it's just not very useful. What it said about the effect of hearing loss on someone's life was completely true, but it isn't anything most of us don't already know from experience!

It also has a great deal of information I didn't find very personally useful, such as how hearing loss affects speech development in children. Very useful for a parent whose child is losing their hearing -- not so helpful for most others!

When you get right down to it, this book is about how to deal with hearing loss, not how to cure it. That really isn't very satisfying, which is why I kept looking.

Cost: 5/5
Quality: 3/5
Usefulness: 2/5
Good for: General information about hearing loss

Welcome!

I'm Barbara, and I created this site to help people who are either losing or in danger of losing their hearing.

I remember my grandma losing her hearing when I was a little girl. It was subtle at first - she needed the volume a little higher and started to ask "What?" fairly often when talking to me. She often complained that her ears felt a little stuffed, like she had cotton balls inside them.

Things only deteriorated from there. It got to the point where she couldn't watch TV without the closed captioning on and was always asking people to repeat what they said. It just got worse and worse until the end of her life.

When I got to the age where I started to worry about my own hearing, I was determined not to let the same thing happen to me. Fortunately, we have far more resources available to us now than my grandmother had in her day.

I researched several different cost-effective treatments. I'll list a few of them here with their strengths and weaknesses, including:

Quality
Usefulness
What it's best for

I hope my information helps you and I hope you regain your hearing soon.
